Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has a lot of decisions to make now that she’s expecting her first child with fiance Jianni LaValle. Among them: What theme should the nursery have? What items should she put on her Babies ‘R’ Us registry list? Which pediatrician should she use? And how many MTV cameras should be set up inside the delivery room?
But when it comes to baby names, Snooks is pretty well set. Just last year, she revealed to People the ones she likes best.
Does she favor “location” names like Brooklyn, Paris, Aspen or Hoboken?
Old-fashioned names like Ethel, Edith, Humphrey or Jehosaphat?
Plant or color names like Blue Ivy, Apple, Scarlett, Willow or Chartreuse?
Or maybe close-your-eyes-and-point-to-the-dictionary names like Pilot, Moxie, Jet or Carbuncle?
None of the above.
True to her roots, the future Mrs. LaValle prefers traditional Italian names for children. For a girl, she says she loves Gia, Isabella and Giana; for a boy, she recently told GQ magazine, she likes Tony or Frankie.
In an even more traditional move, she might name a firstborn son after his dad: Jianni Jr.
Well, she’s got a few more months to think it over, and it won’t be long before her sonogram will help her narrow down her choices to one gender or the other.
Do you like her choices? What would you advise her to go with?
