There is a new Diana Spencer in the world. Princess Diana’s brother, Earl Spencer, has honored his sister with the name of his new baby girl.
Princess Diana died in 1997 and Earl Spencer, in his grief, has been forever tied to his late sister not just be blood but by the touching display of his dismay of losing his sister. Earl Spencer (age 47) and his wife Countess Spencer (age 39) had their first child together, a healthy 8lb., 14 oz. girl that they named….
Lady Charlotte Diana Spencer. This is Earl Spencer’s seventh child but his first with his new wife. “She’s adorable,” he told London’s Daily Mail.
He said of the name, “I very much wanted her commemorated in the naming of our daughter,” he said. The baby was born at Althorp, the Spencer family home, which is also where the Princess Diana’s grave is.
It is a very sweet tribute and a lovely way to remember his sister. The world has yet to forget her, and it’s nice to see that those close to her are keeping her memory alive.
