Stowe Vermont: Learn about HGTV dream home 2011 city!

I don’t know about you, but every year when the location of the HGTV dream home is announced, I check out the facts about that city IMMEDIATELY in hopes that I will soon be living there. This year’s lucky city is Stowe Vermont. Where is Stowe Vermont, what is the location like and is it a good place to raise kids? Read on for all the info!

First and most obviously, considering the house’s features: Stowe, Vermont, is ski country. Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak, is located near the HGTV dream home 2011. The town was chartered in 1763. It is located in north central Vermont, about 40 minutes from the closest airport, and there are regular car shows, wine tastings and winter carnivals in town.

Stowe Vermont is a small town — fewer than 5,000 residents — and median family income is $64,700 per year. Your kids have to be snow bunnies to like it up north, because it’s chilly there, too; the low temperature at night in December was generally in the mid-single digits, with highs of 35 or less.

Here’s a link to the town’s web site and its historical society. And here’s where you enter the frontdoor.com/sweepstakes. Good luck!
