It’s National Friendship Day on August 4th! While we all take some time to appreciate the wonderful friends in our lives, have you ever wondered what happened to the Friends cast that used to bring us so many laughs almost a decade ago? Wouldn’t it be great if we found out what happened to Rachel, Ross, Monica, and the rest of the gang? Have the fab six still remained friends today?
Check out our slideshow below of where we think the Friends cast would be today and let us know what you think!
Rachel Karen Green-Gellar | Married to Ross, but Separated 1 of 6
When we last left Rachel, she ditched her dreams of being part of a fashion powerhouse in Paris, and instead she and Ross confessed their true love for one another. Rachel and Ross decided to get married once again (this being their second after their quickie Las Vegas wedding much earlier), and it wasn't until a few years of blissdom did they start feeling a few bumpy patches in their marriage. Ross ultimately started fooling around with a Buzzfeed intern after he caught wind of Rachel friending her old pal Mark on Facebook. Rachel sure enough didn't buy the "we were on a break" excuse this time around. While the two are married but separated, they are still living in Ross' old apartment and raising their daughter Emma together. And Emma? She just happens to be the only 11-year-old girl who wears chic Ralph Lauren duds and tween Tory Burch flats at Paleontology camp during her summers.
Monica Gellar-Bing | Stay-at-Home Mom and Food Blogger 2 of 6
Monica and Chandler are happily living in the suburbs outside of the city while raising their twins, Jack and Erica. Monica left the restaurant business to be a stay-at-home mom and now contributes part-time as a food and home organization blogger for the hugely popular Babble.com. Along with her love for the blogosphere (which she uses as an outlet to share her tips on running the most efficient household ever — I mean, this is Monica after all), she also has one of the most popular food boards on Pinterest! Monica spends a lot of time in the kitchen, which means a lot of food-testing, a lot of cooking, and well, sometimes a lot of Nutella. That being said, it's not surprising that Monica has added a little to her frame, but that hasn't stopped Chandler from loving her exactly the way she is. And that hasn't stopped Monica from making the most awesome three-layer molten brownie ice cream volcano cake for Joey's 40th birthday — half of which she almost ate herself!
Phoebe Buffay | Self-Help Author and Entrepreneur 3 of 6
Phoebe is no longer a freelance masseuse, but instead one of the most successful female entrepreneurs of our day. She opened up the "Healing Hands" spa network across the country which is doing wildly well in business, despite the downturn in the economy. She also used her alter-ego, Regina Phalange, to write a self-help book, which has helped her land her own web series. And she even sued Lady Gaga for copyright infringement to "Smelly Cat" and won big. Phoebe is still happily married to her husband Mike, and the couple have three children — Harry, Hamish, and Hubert — who all happen to be rodents.
Joey Tribbiani | First Contestant on "The Bachelor" 4 of 6
After moving from New York City to Los Angeles, Joey finally made it big in Hollywood by appearing on several shows, including House, Law and Order, CSI Miami, Desperate Housewives, Supernatural, 90210, Hot In Cleveland, Go On, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, and many, many more. Joey eventually married an aspiring reality television star whom he met on MySpace in the mid-2000s. However, he quickly divorced her after realizing that she was more interested in piggy-backing on his fame than staying in his heart. Joey later became the first "Bachelor" on the hugely popular reality television show, in which he fell in love with every woman vying for his heart and refused to pick just one winner (causing producers a major headache). The television roles unfortunately began to dry out, prompting Joey to move back to the East Coast, where he's now living in an apartment above Monica and Chandler's garage and is still single.
Chandler Bing | Blogger at TheBadaBing.com 5 of 6
Chandler, as we know, is living in the suburbs with his wife Monica and their twins. And just like Monica, he started his own blog, TheBadaBing.com, where he writes about his marketing ideas. The site quickly gained a massive audience due to his quirky wit and humor, making Chandler a full-time blogger and giving him enough income to raise his family comfortably. Chandler still makes off-colored jokes, is still afraid of intimate conversations, and is still super frightened of raising pre-teen kids in a few years time. But with Monica by his side, he makes it one day at a time. He also occasionally runs in to his ex-girlfriend Janice at Costco, which ultimately freaks him out each time, considering that he's blocked her from Facebook and Twitter several times now. What Chandler doesn't know is that Janice also uses FourSquare.
Ross Gellar | Bend and Pivot Furniture Designer 6 of 6
As we all know already, things didn't work out the way they should have between Rachel and Ross. Despite being a full-time professor at NYU and a doting dad to his daughter Emma and son Ben, Ross still has commitment issues, which have caused a lot of trouble with the ladies in his life. Still, Ross has had his success in the past decade, designing a new line of furniture that can bend and "pivot" for those who want to move their belongings up flights of stairs with ease. His pieces have become a big hit at West Elm. Needless to say, he still keeps well in touch with all of his original pals, being the loyal and good friend that he is.
