Ratings May Be Down, but There's a Baby Boom at American Idol!


Idol Alum Tamyra Gray Welcomes SonAmerican Idol may be suffering from declining ratings, but it looks like there may be a baby boom in the making among the Idol alumnae.

The newest addition to the American Idol family arrived on July 17 when first season finalist Tamyra Gray and husband, Sam Watters, welcomed daughter Sienna Marie.

“We are overjoyed with the arrival of our little lady,” Gray, 30, says of the arrival. “I’ve never known love to this capacity. She smiles already and it just stills my heart.”

It has a busy year for the Idol alumnae with Bo fourth season finalist Bo Bice welcoming his third son in January, fifth season finalist Chris Daughtry announcing that he is expecting twins, and fourth season finalist Constatine Maroulis just announced he is expecting his first child.

If the rumors about Jennifer Lopez joining the show as a replacment for Ellen DeGeneres are true, her twins Max and Emme will add a fun mix to the expanding Idol family.
