Real Housewives Melissa Gorga on Parenting Her Daughter: Friend and MotherWendyM
Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Melissa Gorga recently shared her parenting philosophy in an interview that also touched upon her feud with Teresa Giudice.
What kind of mom is Melissa Gorga to her kids… and is there any end to the fighting with Teresa?
Melissa tells HollyBaby.com that her kids are “still young enough where they don’t know what’s going on [between Teresa and I].”
Gorga does share that things are better between her husband, Joe, and Teresa’s husband Joe, but something tells me that’ll change when the Real Housewives cameras start rolling.
Melissa talks about parenting her daughter in response to Jacqueline and Ashley’s rocky relationship: “It’s that time of her life, she’s kind of not sure where she wants to be or what she wants to do and it’s a little frustrating for Jacqueline,” noting that with her six-year-old Antonia, “I want to show her that I’m her friend, but I also want to be her mother. I don’t want her to hate me, but I want her to respect me.”
So many parents want to be the friend, but it sounds like Melissa is trying to keep a balance and maintain respect, too.
Gorga says she gets parenting ideas from Caroline Manzo, saying “I love Mama Caroline!”
As for more babies, it sounds like Melissa is sticking with three because she doesn’t want to divide her time with more littles.
