Real Housewives of New Jersey: Joe Giudice's DUI Sneak Peek (VIDEO)

Joe and Teresa Giudice have had quite a year. There have been ups: Teresa’s cookbook success and their new baby. And there have been downs: bankruptcy, lawsuits and Danielle. But there is one other big Giudice downer that will be featured on next weeks episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Joe Giudice’s DUI. So what happened?

Back in January, the dad of four crashed his car into a pole (and some trees) in New Jersey. After the crash Joe was taken to the hospital where his blood was drawn to see if he was driving drunk. He was then charged with “driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, and failure to maintain a traffic lane.” And it turned out he also had warrants out for his arrest from “some city ordinance violations” in Clifton, NJ. So he was handing over to the Clifton police and jailed and held with a $2625 bail. He was sprung from lock up the next morning.

But in next week’s episode Joe claims he wasn’t drinking. Earlier that evening he had been out to dinner with Teresa, Jacqueline and her husband and they all said that he hadn’t been boozing. But apparently he went somewhere later that night. While he was coming home around 2am he got in the accident. He’s claiming he was just tired saying “I’m coming home…I yawned. I wasn’t drinking that night. I shut my eyes for a second, and I hit like four trees then hit a pole.” He came out unharmed and said “an angel was looking out for me.” But that angel must have a bad sense of humor or hold some kind of grudge because, man they haven’t had much luck in any other parts of their lives!
