All of the Real Housewives of New York City come off being loaded, and not just on Pinot Grigio. One of the prerequisites of being cast on the show if having money, and lots of it. Or at least living like you do with Hermes handbags, high end real estate and Caribbean vacations. So who is the richest and who, well, isn’t? Check out the list here.
The site Celebrity Net Worth gives an estimate of star’s wealth. They use public info to give an idea of what these celebrities have in their portfolios. But keep in mind these figures should be taken with a grain of salt, pricey Laseo Salt of course.
Jill Zarin $35 Million – Primary from her husband Bobby’s business and family money.
Sonja Morgan $30 Million – From her ex-husband’s “old” money
Ramona Singer $18 Million – From her businesses and her husband’s jewelry company.
Kelly Bensimon $15 Million – From her successful photographer ex-husband
Bethenny Frankel $14 Million – From her best selling books, videos, drink company and other enterprises.
LuAnn de Lesseps $2 Million – She has a title but not much money.
Alex McCord $400, 000 – She didn’t marry super rich and both her and Simon continue to work to make ends meet.
Ok. I don’t get this show at all. I watched a few clips online, it’s like being back in the high school bathroom, the shitty smell, mixed in with perfume, makeup and glitter.
No wonder Alex was trying to sell them pictures. No wonder she was on blind date.She broke. Who knew Kelly has more money than Bethenny.
The difference between Bethenny and Kelly is Bethenny made her money with hard work and Kelly just married it!
I am not surprised, they will need the money for therapy bills after it is over at any rate.

If Jill is so rich why does she live in such a crummy small apartment with a tiny kitchen & not even an entrance landing but a hall ? Also they rent in South Hampton. Their store is in lower Manhattan near the Bowery. I don’t see how you have wealth in old/discount fabric warehouses. Must be overvalued property before the 50% property devaluations that are more realistic today. And she does look like a rat. Bobby looks kind but she sure contrils him. Price you pay to marry up (ha ha) & get a “woman” 20 years younger !
how on earth can alex and simon purchase expensive evening gowns like the one they purchased in season 1 that cost something like 8,000, wear it once, and give it away to charity on season 3 with net worth of only 400,000 dollars??? They’re either living way beyond ones means and pretending to be something they’re not, or those number are incorrect.

These numbers are ridiculous. Jill is worth 5 million , if that. They sold the building Zarin Fabric is in , have mortgages and show WAAY more than they have.Those Bentleys, Ferrari’s ect have disappeared and the rent in the Hamptons. They float Ridiculous stories in the press that they are looking to buy homes in the 7 million dollar range. Ludicrous. People like the Zarins put down 10 percent then sell when they can’t make the payments anymore. Ramona has more earned money than all of them-Thanks to Home shopping- and Sonja Morgan has an 8million dollar judgement against her and only got her townhouse( last listed for 5 million down for 12m), which she now owes to her creditors.
Luann got the house in the Hamptons, but rents a tiny apartment WAY uptown on the westside. Its may as well be in Siberia. Don’t be fooled ladies. All is not what it seems.

I thought the same thing about Jill’s apartment looking so tiny. That iddy bitty kitchen, ugh! As soon as you walk out of it you run into the tacky round glass table.
I’ve been to that sight, and in my opinion there’s not much rhyme or reason behind the valuations (not just of the HWs). They seem random. Just my 2 cents.

Alex and Simon are the poorest and most pretentious ESP in season 1,the little house they rented in the Hamptons had a wadding pool and was pathetic. Keli lives off her child support. Neither has parlayed their 15 min into a money making venture like Bethany. Ramona is in alcoholic denial. Jill was very jealous of Bethany finding a man,having a baby,her own show and a successful business. Jill is mean spirited and a huge gossip who stirs the pot. Ramona’s hubby has wondering eye and will trade her in for a new thirty something. The Contess looks and sound like a drag queen who is tone deaf. Her French boy friend wants a sugar mama and needs a nose job pronto. He looks like that other big nosed frog Cyrano or better yet an ant eater. Bring in some new ones!
