Real Housewives of NJ: Caroline Manzo Testifies Against Danielle Staub in Deposition

Danielle Staub isn’t the only one facing judges and lawyers in the Federal defamation lawsuit her ex-husband, Kevin Maher, has filed against her. Staub’s former Real Housewives of New Jersey castmate, Caroline Manzo, is now officially part of the case. Manzo, the resident “tough gal” on the show, recently testified against Staub in a deposition for the case.

Manzo discussed all the times Staub spoke to her about Maher, including all the negative things Staub would say–such as the fact that Maher forced her into prostitution. “She depicted him as a monster,” Manzo said in her July 22 testimony, according to RadarOnline. “She depicted him as someone who would beat her daily, as someone that put her in the hospital due to the beatings, I want to say on more than one occasion.”

Manzo supported Maher’s case, and backed up all of his claims against Staub. “She claimed to have been hiding in a tree at some point, afraid that when he came home he would find her and beat her…And the only reason she stayed with him, because she feared for her life if she left,” Manzo said about Staub’s stories.

Staub has filed a motion to dismiss the case; that will be heard on September 27. Do you think Maher really treated Staub this poorly, or are Manzo and Maher accurate in saying Staub’s claims are nothing but lies and defamation?
