Real Housewives of NJ: Is Danielle Staub Really Happy To Leave The Show?

As rumors and reports circulate that Danielle Staub was fired from Real Housewives of New Jersey, she actually is insisting that it was her choice to leave the show–and she couldn’t be happier about it.

“There was really nothing left,” Staub told people. “I left on my terms.” We’re not so convinced that she quit rather than not being invited back–and we also don’t 100% believe she wouldn’t stay on the show given the chance.

But nonetheless, when Staub spoke with People, she talked about her relief about moving on. “I am exhaling now, definitely,” she said. “I’m relieved, happy. It feels amazing to leave on a positive note.” Is anyone else wondering what the “positive” part of her most recent activity on RHONJ was?

The 48-year-old maintained her position as a victim in all the latest drama with costars, particularly Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice. “At the reunion, I knew I was leaving but I didn’t know if I’d get to say goodbye or if I’d be chased off the set,” she said. “I can honestly say it was starting to be a really stressful situation for me. Constantly having to deal with people attacking me physically, emotionally, mentally, as a mother, as a human, as a woman. I really didn’t want to continue that.”

But of course, being Danielle Staub, she couldn’t leave on a totally graceful note–Staub had to get in one last dig. “Teresa’z crazy,” she said. “Look at her behavior. I don’t regret or apologize for anything I said.”
