Reese Witherspoon Bans Her Children From Joining Facebook And TwitterJoanna Mazewski
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Reese Witherspoon is by far the most intelligent mother in the celebrity world.
The celebrity mom is no fan of social networking and especially doesn’t like the idea of her children someday joining popular networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
The Oscar-winning actress says in an interview with Marie Claire, “The internet is just so challenging as a parent. Your children are a click away from [all of these scary things], and it’s just really upsetting.”
“I wish I had some sort of forum for women dealing with this, because I have so many friends who don’t know what to do. I just don’t know how to parent in the digital age. I’m terrified of it,” Reese added.
The celebrity mom added that her two children 12-year-old Ava and 7-year-old Deacon do not have social-networking accounts and that she’d like to keep it that way for as long as she can.
Tell us, what are your thoughts about children joining sites such as Facebook and Twitter? Do you agree with Reese that it is difficult to parent in the digital age?
