Actress Reese Witherspoon has recently picked up the game of tennis despite the fact that she is about 5-6 months along in her pregnancy. While many mothers would shake their heads at picking up a high-paced activity such as tennis during their second or third trimesters of their pregnancies, others think it’s an absolutely great idea to keep fit and active during the last stages of your pregnancy.
But what do you think, is Reese playing tennis with her bump a good idea? As one Famecrawler reader puts it, “If a woman was active in a certain sport prior to being pregnant then its ok to keep doing it,” while another reader says, “My concern is the heat that comes with playing tennis outside. I would be concerned about the baby’s well being, especially since she is working outside and might possibly be exposed to overheating in the sun.”
