Sally Menke, who served as the editor on all of Quentin Tarantino’s movies, was found dead in Los Angeles this morning. She was 56. A frequent hiker, who in fact made her first contact with Tarantino more than a decade ago while on a hike in Canada, Menke apparently died while on a hike in the deadly LA heat yesterday.
Her body was found at the bottom of a ravine hours after friends and family reported her missing. She had set out on a hike on Monday.
Menke worked on “Reservoir Dogs,” “Pulp Fiction” and “Kill Bill,” but she also edited the original 1990 film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” which many parents still remember fondly from their own youth.
Menke was married to Aldo Luis Parisot and was the daughter in law of famous cellis Aldo Simoes Parisot, according to IMDB.
