SNL Pregnant in Heels spoof parody sketch skit video

SNL Pregnant in Heels sketch has a fan in Rosie Pope!

Rosie Pope is a fan of the Saturday Night Live “Pregnant in Heels” spoof that aired when Tina Fey hosted SNL (video).

In the SNL Pregnant in Heels sketch, cast member Abby Elliott took on the challenge of Rosie Pope’s mannerisms… and yes, her accent. Did Abby Elliott nail her Rosie Pope impersonation?

Rosie Pope took to Twitter to post her love of the SNL Pregnant in Heels parody, tweeting: “#PregnantinHeels spoof on SNL so brilliant-such honor to be made fun of+ SO glad I have crazy accent…so many things to give thx for ;)

In the Pregnant in Heels sketch, Abby Elliott played Rosie’s maternity concierge to Tina Fey’s pregnant and demanding character.

Abby Elliott, as Rosie Pope, explained her accent: “Well, I was born in England and then moved to America. And every morning, a thousand bees sting my tongue.”

Pope is taking it in stride – after all, haven’t you made it when Saturday Night Live makes fun of you?

A fan on Twitter asked Pope, “Do u have speech impediment or just “crazy” accent” and she answered, “Not aware of impediment but now u have me wandering- think just accent;)”

I’m hoping Pregnant in Heels makes a return to Saturday Night Live. The underused Abby Elliott nailed the Rosie Pope accent and there are a lot of possibilities for future sketches!
