For Farrah Fawcett, Ryan O’Neal was more than just an on-again, off-again romance (though for many years, hearing the words “Farrah, Ryan” evoked, for the rest of us, images of tortured love). By all accounts, he was her one true soulmate. In the days leading up to the anniversary of her death, he’s been talking about Farrah, Redmond (the son they had together), and finding a way to memorialize the Charlie’s Angel as a family.
“I hear her voice, I see her silhouette,’ he told the Today show yesterday. “I miss her cooking. I haven’t had a good meal since she left me.” In fact, he concedes, ” It’s harder than I thought. I miss her. We all miss her.” And yet, as he photo shows, today, on the exact anniversary of Farrah’s death, Ryan was without his family, taking care of errands around his Malibu house.
Son Redmond is living in a sober house in Pasadena, Calif., after recently spending time in jail on drug-related charges. “I know he grieves and I grieve, but we really haven’t put our heads together. We thought maybe we should take a trip and do it that way, but that hasn’t happened,” said O’Neal. “He’s not allowed to leave the state, and that will go on for another few months.”
As for the photo, Ryan is folding a box that contained bottled Penta, an ultra-purified brand of water.
