In the larger scheme of bad boy behavior in Hollywood, Jesse James’ cheating scandal is not so bad. He had one indiscretion, not several as is the case with Tiger Woods, and he never terrorized or hit Sandra like Mel Gibson did to Oksana Grigorieva. He made a mistake and he is clearly sorry for it, making plenty of public apologies and checking himself into sex rehab. Sandra really did love him and she loves his kids, so it would be hard to fault her if she chooses to forgive and forget.
“Sandra has made it clear that Jesse is the love of her life,” a friend of hers tells PopEater. “She’s not the sort of lady that just stops loving someone, no matter what he did behind her back. Sandra misses him and their life together every single day. You have to remember Sandra raised Sunny [Jesse's 6-year-old daughter] as her own for the past five years. Packing her school lunches, brushing her hair, reading her bedtime stories. Sandra even took care of Sunny while Jesse was getting help in rehab.”
The couple have been in contact since the day Sandra left him for the purpose of discussing the children. As time has gone by and the wound is less raw, their phone chats have moved to other topics. A good sign for Jesse.
“Jesse has made her smile again. She can finally have a normal conversation with him again without focusing on the pain and anger,” the friend continues. “She thinks its hilarious listening to him talking about what towels he needs to buy or that Sunny wants to paint the entire house pink! She would always be in charge of looking after the home in the past and knows interior decorating and Jesse is not a good fit.”
Jesse’s new home is just 16 miles from Sandra’s place. Another thing that bodes well for him. In addition, he just bought a new workplace near Walton’s Fancy & Staple, a deli and grocery that Sandra owns to ensure they will just bump into each other.
This month had to be especially rough on Sandra. The couple’s anniversary is on July 16 and her 46th birthday is on the 26th. Jesse has also been in court for the custody dispute with his ex Janine Lindemulder over Sunny, a battle Sandra is extremely invested in. She has also been raising Louis alone and is no doubt missing what a good father Jesse is.
If these two love each other and make each other happy, then I think they should try and work things out. If they make it through everything, they’ll be stronger.
