Sandra Bullock: No Plans to Adopt Husband's Kids
Amid the turmoil Sandra Bullock’s marriage to Jesse James is facing upon allegations of his infidelity, rumors ran rampant that Bullock planned to adopt or wanted to gain custody of James’s children — mainly his youngest, Sunny, 6. who Bullock had been helping to raise. But her publicist says that isn’t the case. And never was.
“There are no plans, nor have there ever been any plans, for Sandra Bullock to adopt any of Jesse James’ children,” her rep told PEOPLE.
Which makes sense. I can’t imagine a court granting custody to the step-parent (even when she’s the most sane one in the situation) when the biological parents are both alive and want custody unless the child would be in harm’s way. Let’s hope for the kids’ sake that James’ parental judgment is better than his spousal behavior.
