Sarah Palin has decided to speak out for the first time since the tragic Arizon shootings that took place this past Saturday (Jan. 8). She posted a video to her Facebook account condemning the violence but striking back at critics who fault her rhetoric and her 2010 online campaign map that targeted vulnerable Democrats with cross-hairs.
“After the shocking tragedy, I listened at first puzzled. Then with concern. And now, with sadness, to the irresponsible statements from people attempting to apportion blame for this terrible event,” Palin says in the video, titled “America’s Enduring Strength.” “Especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence that they purport to condemn.”
