Police reports say Nicholas and his wife were drunkenly arguing over which rental was theirs, and the argument got so heated that the National Treasure star allegedly tried to drag his wife into one of the houses by force. The charges were later dropped, and Nicholas just had to pay a $50 fine for disturbing the peace.

Jenelle Evens 2 of 10One arrest wasn’t enough for this Teen Mom 2 star to learn her lesson. In January, Jenelle was arrested for marijuana possession, and in March, the teen mom was arrested again after TMZ posted a video of her assault on another teen girl. The judge allowed Jenelle to clear her record through 24 hours of community service. Even though Jenelle has officially signed over custody of her toddler son to her mother, we hope she learns how to be a better role model for her little boy.

Mel Gibson 3 of 10In January, Mel Gibson was charged with hitting then-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva while she was holding their daughter, Lucia. Three months later, Mel fessed up and turned himself in. He was sentenced to three years probation, 16 hours community service, ordered to complete domestic violence and mental health counseling and charged with $600 in fines.

Christina Aguilera 4 of 10In late February, Christina was technically arrested and taken into custody when police pulled over the car her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, was driving and arrested him for driving under the influence. Authorities reported Christina was too intoxicated to take care of herself, so they took her in and released her in the morning. Though she may not have been directly involved in criminal activity herself, we still think she’s going to have a tough time explaining to her son, Max, why “Mommy spent the night in jail.”

Adam Sandler 5 of 10This celeb dad’s trouble with the law wasn’t exactly of the COPS variety. Comic book creator Robert Cabell sued Adam and Sony Pictures for copyright infringement on the idea of using a hair dryer as a weapon, which appears in the Sandler flick Don’t Mess with the Zohan, and Cabell claimed as his original idea. Though the lawsuit sparked amusing courtroom discussions about just how one would go about using a hairdryer as a weapon, ultimately, Sandler was found not guilty.

Shaquille O’Neal 6 of 10Shaq is currently in the middle of a case that involves kidnapping, robbery and sex tapes — oh my! Seven gang members allegedly kidnapped, beat up and stole over $15,000 in cash and possessions from a man who was said to have a tape showing Shaq with several other women while he was married to ex-wife, Shaunie. So far, under questioning, Shaq has denied any connection to the events, but the case is still under investigation.

After spending the night in jail, Charlie was charged with felony menacing, misdemeanor third degree assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief. Though the charge carries a maximum 3-year prison sentence, Charlie skipped the trial and made a deal with prosecutors to plead guilty and receive a 30-day sentence instead.
