Scotland, Seven, And Sweetheart: Celebrity Kids And Their Unusual Middle Names (Photos)

jmazewski Joanna Mazewski |

PicMonkey CollageWhenever you pick out your childrens’ middle names before they’re born, it’s a rather complicated ordeal, isn’t it? I mean, the middle name has to flow right behind the first name easily, the three initials of the baby’s name have to make some sense, and it just has to have a nice, poetic feel to it, right? Well, at least that’s what we parents think until our babies become about 12 or 13, and we totally forget what middle name we gave them.

While middle names are somewhat important – especially on birth announcements or when your child’s one-syllable first name just doesn’t cut it when you feel like screaming their name at the top of their lungs – we tend to forget about them. That is, unless you have a quirky middle name that makes your first name look lame in comparison.

When it comes to middle names, we can always count on celebrity parents to give their offspring the most unusual ones. Because it’s what makes them stand out in the crowd and at the school playground, right? From middle names such as “Nesta Rock,” “Crimefighter,” and “Boo,” it’s just the gift that keeps on giving.

Check out our photo gallery of some celebrity tots and their most unusual middle names, and let us know what you think!

  • Harper Seven Beckham

    Harper Seven Beckham

Although not confirmed, it's been said that Harper's middle name Seven was inspired by her famous daddy David's lucky jersey number. Either way, H7 is a pretty cool nickname to have, no?

  • Penelope Scotland Disick

Believe it or not, I actually like Scotland as a middle name. It's cute, it's unisex and it's a great way to pay homage to your roots (while doing a little name play with the daddy's name, too). Good work on this one, Kourtney and Scott.

  • Haven Garner Warren

    Haven Garner Warren

No matter what, I can't help but think of Jennifer Garner whenever I hear of Jessica Alba's daughter's name. It's just too much of a coincidence that both Jessica and Jennifer are very popular celebrity moms right now, right?

    Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale

It is going to be a huge let down if this boy doesn't grow up to be a rock star. I mean, his destiny is in his name.

  • Louis Bardo Bullock

    Louis Bardo Bullock

Louis Bardo Bullock sounds like he is going to not only be a straight A student, but the class President and the Alma Mater of his college when he graduates. And he'll be writing poetry and figuring out his girlfriend's difficult fraction equations... while he's still in the fourth grade.

I actually like Sweetheart as a middle name. Let's just hope this little one lives up to it, though.

  • Maxwell Drew Johnson

    Maxwell Drew Johnson

A lot of people were hating on this name last year, but I actually like Drew as a middle name. But I will say that it's a good thing that Maxi's parents are famous, otherwise if you'd just hear the names "Max Johnson" or "Drew Johnson," and then see her beautiful face, you'd be a little confused, right?

Alison, I like. Blythe, I love. Yet Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin decide to name their daughter Apple.

British Chef and his wife Jools though they were being pretty clever when they named their daughter Petal Blossom Rainbow Oliver. Need I say more?

And if Petal Blossom Rainbow wasn't bad enough, they decided to name their other daughter Daisy Boo.

  • Moxie Crimefighter Jillette

    Moxie Crimefighter Jillette

While we don't have a picture of Penn Jillette's daugther Moxie Crimefighter, I'm sure that one day she will really THANK her parents for that very original name of hers. And Penn seemed like such a normal, sweet guy on "Celebrity Apprentice," right? Why do that to a child?

Nicole Richie must have really been thinking about her upcoming shoe line while she was thinking up of her daughter's multiple names. Winter Kate sounds like a shoe line, doesn't it?

As one of the few celebrity tots out there, Suri Cruise doesn't have a middle name. In fact, she doesn't need a middle name. She is Suri Cruise.
