Actor Seann William Scott checked into rehab on Tuesday, but no details have been given yet as to why he did. The 34-year-old actor, best known for his role as Stifler in the American Pie series, has not divulged any other details on what those issues are, or what prompted him to take his decision.
He is known as a health conscious, positive actor, and many are having a hard time believing that he would have problems with drugs or alcohol.
So other than carrying the stigma of Stifler around, who is Scott? Scott is the youngest of seven children, and hails from Cottage Grove, Minnesota. He says that he decided that he wanted to be an actor while working at the local movie theater and seeing all the movies he could watch free.
He’s a diverse actor who has been in many well known comedies and action films including: Final Destination, Road Trip, Dude, Where’s My Car?, Evolution, The Rundown, The Dukes of Hazzard, Role Models, and Cop Out.
Scott and screenwriter Steve Conrad formed Elephant Pictures last year. The aim is to bring together directors, writers and actors for shorts, features, documentaries and episodic Web content.
