Do Shaun Cassidy, Backstreet Boys Take You Back to Teen Years?

Here’s a few names that will take you back: Shaun Cassidy. Backstreet Boys. Peter Frampton. All of these teen idols were on Oprah today!

The Oprah Winfrey Show featured an rerun episode that was awesome. Oprah had a “teen heartthrob” for every age group. And my heartthrob was Shaun Cassidy.

In the 70′s, Shaun Cassidy was totally dreamy in the TV series, The Hardy Boys but his brother David Cassidy was the superstar of the family, playing Keith Partridge on the now classic TV series The Partridge Family. In a bit of celeb trivia, Shaun Cassidy’s TV brother in The Hardy Boys was played by the 70′s hunk Parker Stevenson, the ex-hubby of Kirstie Alley.

Shaun Cassidy was the Zac Efron of the 70′s because he was a star on TV and he had a hit song. Shaun didn’t achieve the major 70′s fame of his big brother but his single, “Da Doo Ron Ron” made the girls with the Farrah Fawcett hair go wild. I should know because I was THERE. I was young but I was still a 70′s child or as my children like to call that decade, “when dinosaurs roamed the earth”.
