Should Parents Punish Student Who Slept During Obama Speech?

He’s the latest “kids behaving badly” Internet sensation — the student who fell asleep during a high school graduation speech by President Obama in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I mean, he’s the president. How boring could it have been? Plus, wouldn’t you stay awake for the simple reason that you’re being filmed? Blogs all over the Internet have picked up on the dozer’s sudden fame. Searches on “sleeping student” and “obama sleeping graduation” have skyrocketed. So, here’s my question: If you were the parents, would you reprimand your child for being so disrespectful? I vote yes. The (hilarious) video next.

    Perhaps it is the parents at fault for not ensuring the kid had sufficient sleep? It doesn’t look as if the kid could help it.

    Did anyone ever think that maybe the student has a medical problem. I think all the comments made about this student are rude, inappropriate. Did anyone ever thing how he feels with all this unwanted publicity
