Pretty much every woman feels some sort of pressure to get her pre-baby body back after giving birth, but celebrity moms feel the sting of pregnancy pounds much worse. Since they are constantly in the spotlight and it is their job to look good, losing pregnancy weight and getting back their post-baby body is always on the top of their list.
Losing baby weight can take quite a bit of time. The old saying goes that it takes “nine months to put it on and nine months to take it off.” This rings true for a lot of women, including some celebrities.
Celebrity moms have a simple trick for appearing slimmer post-baby in front of the cameras even when they haven’t lost all of their pregnancy weight. It’s very easy to duplicate, because all they do is avoid pants all together and wear loose-fitting dresses. The dresses instantly make them appear more svelte, even though they are likely hiding a few lumps and bumps under their frocks.
I will admit that I have actually been using the “dress trick” this summer to look a few pounds slimmer, and I’m not even pregnant! It’s amazing what backyard barbecues and chips and dip will do to a gal’s waistline. Throwing on a sundress seems to fool everyone into thinking that my favorite jeans still fit. (For the record, they don’t).
