Kate graces the cover of the October issue of British Elle magazine, on sale today, and on the subject of marriage, she says, “It’s definitely not something I’m looking for.” Kate goes on to say that she does believe in love, and that when you “open yourself up to it, it’s the most beautiful thing.”
Hudson carries no bitterness from her divorce from rocker, Chris Robinson, who has since remarried and had another child. She and Chris do an excellent job of remaining friends while co-parenting their son, Ryder, and she still speaks very highly of him.
“Chris is a wellspring of information. He knows more about music than anyone I’ve ever met. I still feel close to him”, Kate says. Wouldn’t it be great if more divorced parents could behave like Kate and Chris? Just because two people aren’t in love anymore doesn’t mean that respect and friendship can’t still exist between them. They set such a great example for other split couples, don’t you think?
Kate recently began dating Muse frontman, Matt Bellamy, and when asked about him, she simply replied, “He’s lovely.” She also added that the two are still getting to know each other.
Marriage may or may not be in Kate Hudson’s future, but she’s definitely got her priorities straight! She cites “raising her son properly”, and being concerned with what makes her and her family happy the most important things on her list.
