Skating with the Stars: Who Made the Cut? See the Stars in Action (Video)

skating with the starsAs the end of the current season of Dancing with the Stars quickly approaches, ABC is looking to expand it’s ‘stars’ franchise by branching with its new offering Skating with the Stars.   The network is hoping to build on the popularity of the dance show by announcing the new skating cast during last night’s live results show.

The new cast includes all the ‘dancing’ basics:  a reality star, an Olympian, an actress, a rock-star, a soap star and a Disney star – all ready to strap on their ‘blades of steel’.

Who made the cut for Skating with the Stars?

The Reality Star. Bethenny Frankel of The Real Housewives of New York and Bethenny Getting Married? fame has been cast in the role of reality diva who claims that nothing intimidates her except skating!

The Olympian.  Skier Jonny Moseley will be taking off his skis and strapping on his skates to become the rock star on skates he’s always wanted to be.

The Soap StarAll My Children star Rebecca Budig steps up to fulfil one of her childhood dreams and is giddy with excitement to show off her skills.

Disney Star.  Disney actor and entertainer Brando Mycal Smith puts on his skates to show that ‘a brother can look nice on the ice’.

Film Diva.  Actress Sean Young comes full of attitude ready to intimidate the competition.  Given that the first clip has very little of her skills, I’m thinking the rest of the cast isn’t really intimidated!

Rock Star.  Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil tries to bring his rock star attitude to the ice to become the baddest guy on the ice.

The debut season of Skating with the Stars premieres following the Dancing with the Stars finale on November 22.
