Singers, they generally stick with one kind of genre of styles be it soul, rock or rap. But Skylar Grey? Her career has run an interesting gamet. Skylar Grey (born Holly Brook Hafermann), performed at the Grammy’s with Dr. Dre and Eminem.
But even though she performed with these legends of hip hop, that is not where her musical world began. This Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and record producer started her career in a folk duo with her mom called aptly Generations. At fifteen, she started to work with a variety of jazz musicians. At the age of 17, she moved to Losa Angeles and got signed and released her first album Like Blood Like Honey. But her big success has been with writing songs.
She helped right sections of Love the Way You Lie with Eminem and Rihanna and sang on Dr. Dre’s Eminem song I Need a Doctor. She also wrote songs for Jay Z, T.I. and Diddy- Dirty Money.
Yeah, she’s been busy! And one thing for sure, this won’t be the last time you hear her name.
