Walt Disney World’s Downtown Disney is about to become a whole lot more magical! It was recently announced that after thirty years the popular area (for both visitors and locals) will undergo a complete transformation and will be turned into an amazing sounding destination called Disney Springs. Disney Springs is inspired by the “turn-of-the century lakeside towns that dotted the Florida landscape.”
The amount of shopping, dining and entertainment venues will more than double (growing from 75 to 150 spots). The action will be based in new Town Center, and will feature a “bubbling natural springs.” The area will expand to include three unique “neighborhoods”: The Landing, Marketplace and West Side. The work will begin next month with Disney Springs be completed in 2016. But you can get a sneak peek of what they have planned right here!
