Lots of celeb parents-to-be choose to keep mum when it comes to personal details about their babies. Giuliana and Bill Rancic and Alyson Hannigan, among others, won’t reveal the gender of the wee ones they’re expecting very soon. Jessica Simpson tried to keep her daughter’s name secret, though the tabs caught wind of it; Jeremy Sisto didn’t name his son until well after he arrived. And Drew Barrymore wouldn’t even confirm she was pregnant until after she exchanged vows with Will Kopelman.
But Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is a rare exception. Not only did she share her baby’s sex on a magazine cover – it’s a boy – now she’s telling the world what his name will be!
Today, on Good Morning America, she revealed, “I think we’re going to do ‘Lorenzo.’ Because then you can call him ‘Enzo.’ ”
(Coincidentally, one of my son’s best friends is named Enzo. Wonder what his mom will make of this news?)
If the Jersey Shore star had been expecting a guidette, her name would have been Giada. But there may yet be a little lady in Snooki’s future (sporting leopard-print onesies, of course).
She and fiance Jionni LaValle want three more children. “Being adopted and an only child, I want my kids to have brothers and sisters to hang out with, because I was lonely,” she said in the interview.
Snooki was also upfront about her feeding plans for little Enzo. She’s worried that breastfeeding will be painful, but she “definitely” wants to pump milk for the baby’s bottles – even though “it’s kind of like you’re a cow.”
And she’s more than happy to give up certain pleasures for her child’s sake, like drinking (she won’t go to a bar, even to sip seltzer), hair bleaching and tanning. Snooki says she’s turned to spray-tanning and “pregnancy-safe tanning beds” (is there such a thing?)
“I’m actually embracing the paleness,” she insists.
So what do you think of Snooki’s choice of names?
