Snooki's Wild Shoes Get Her Into Airport Trouble - And 2 Other Tales of Pregnant Celebs and Planes!Shana Aborn
“Don’t mess with my shoes today!” tweeted Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi on Saturday morning as she posted this shot of her seriously spiked Jeffrey heels on her way to the airport for a flight to Chicago. When a fan scolded that the footwear was inappropriate for a woman in her second trimester of pregnancy, Snooki replied, “No it’s not. My baby and I are just fine. Thanks for your concern tho.”
However, what she didn’t realize was that her attention-getting shoes would get her the wrong kind of attention at the airport.
Even a reality-TV star has to abide by FAA rules, and no way were the security folks going to let anyone going to board a plane with footwear resembling a medieval torture device. They stopped Snooki and told her the heels had to go. “LMAO sick life,” she joked.
Fortunately, Snooki was allowed to check in her Jeffreys and buy a pair of (less dangerous) flats. “I’m still making it Chicago! Just a little late,” she tweeted a few minutes ago.
Guess you could call this the third in a trilogy of interesting plane-related incidents involving pregnant celebrities. Read on to see who else has tales to tell!
Kourtney Kardashian revealed in her blog that in this late stage of her pregnancy, she’s developed claustrophobia – which caused trouble for her earlier this month when she arrived at LAX from a trip to Mexico and had a panic attack in the line in the tunnel waiting for customs. Feeling as though she couldn’t breathe, she ran to the front of the line.
“It’s a horrible feeling and I hope it goes away after my pregnancy,” she says. “I hate that feeling of being trapped with no control.”
The third story is a far happier one, fortunately. Melissa Joan Hart, who just announced that she’s expecting her third child, got an up-close view of the space shuttle Enterprise as it was transported to its new home: the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in Manhattan. The shuttle flew on the back of a 747 and landed safely on the massive aircraft carrier.
Melissa tweeted this picture of her family in front of the shuttle and plane:
Now if Jessica Simpson would be good enough to have her baby today in the VIP Lounge at LAX, this would truly be an aeronautic natal day to remember!
