So Sad: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Adrienne Maloof Says Hubby Was Abusive

Adrienne Maloof and Dr. Paul Nassif In Happier Times

On the show it seemed that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof and her husband Paul Nassif were a happy married couple. But their marriage of ten years has unraveled and they are in the midst of a very bitter divorce. But things have gone from bitter to bad, very bad. There are new allegations from Adrienne Maloof that Paul Nassif was abusive to their children (they have three children – 9-year-old Gavin and 6-year-old twins Christian and Collin) and Adrienne was granted temporary custody. What happened?

According to Adrienne Maloof, Paul Nassif choked one of her sons when he was being “rowdy” while going on a drive last week. She also said that when one of their boys acted up during bath time, Nassif “threw him in the corner.”

Nassif’s lawyers were apparently “blindsided” by the allegations. Nassif’s lawyer said that is was “gamesmanship at its worst,” adding that, “it is a sad day when parents have to stoop to the level of making false allegations against another parent.”

This is all very sad on many levels. If the allegations are true, then one can only feel so sorry for the children who are being exposed to their father’s anger. But if it’s not true, than it’s sad that the allegations are being brought up and tainting their father’s reputation and chance to be with them. Divorce is hard for kids at any age, but when it is played out in the tabloids, and escalates to an all out court war, well it’s not good for anyone.

Let’s hope that it all gets resolved soon and the road ahead —for the kid’s sake is smoother.
