Sofia Vergara May Be Planning for a Baby!

By shanaaborn |

Is Sofia saying hello to second-time motherhood?

Let’s see. Sofia Vergara is stunning, funny, a shrewd businesswoman and, according to her bio, the only Hispanic actress to successfully cross over to the general market after beginning her career on an American Hispanic network.

So embracing midlife motherhood would be yet another feather in her (stylish Kmart) cap.

The Modern Family star already has a 19-year-old son, Manolo, but she reveals to InStyle magazine this month that having another child isn’t entirely out of the question.

Now that she’s about to turn 40, she says, “I guess I am going to think about freezing my eggs” so that she doesn’t have to rush to get pregnant. Since infertility starts to become a concern when a woman reaches her 30s, she knows that it’s best to preserve her eggs before they become too old to be viable.

This move would also give her more time to plan a future with her boyfriend, Nick Loeb.Sofia tells the magazine that they’re not hurrying to get married right away – and perhaps that’s because she’s still forging ahead with her career.

“I’ve lived a life full of things I never thought I could achieve,” she says. “It takes effort and sacrifice, but why not risk trying to be better?”

Her latest achievement will come on April 7, when she’ll host Saturday Night Live.

But don’t you love the thought of Sofia expanding her own little modern family?
