Sofia Vergara Says Being A Teen Mom Wasnt So BadJoanna Mazewski
She might be one of Hollywood’s hottest commodities these days, but actress Sofia Vergara was once a teen mom, too!
Although many people can say there are more cons to pros in being a teen mom, Sofia says getting pregnant at the age of 19 wasn’t so bad after all.
The “Modern Family” star explains to Redbook Magazine: “When I had Manolo, I was 19, and I had the energy for everything.”
Now that the curvy bombshell is 39, she says she couldn’t go back to late nights up, early morning wake-up calls, and all the diaper duty that comes with a newborn baby.
“My boyfriend now wants to have kids, and I don’t even want to think about it,” Sofia admits.
“I would have to get into that mind-set again, the waking up early.”
Having the energy to chase after little toddlers might be the one benefit to being a young mom, although we’re not sure what else we could add to the list of positives.
With MTV’s “Teen Mom” stars Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout, and Jenelle Evans receiving so much bad press lately, we think a little maturity could go a long way for some stars and the young, teenage mom craze that is hitting Hollywood.
What do you think? Does being a teen mom have its benefits or should young women wait before they are more settled before giving motherhood a shot?
