Maggie Gyllenhaal was spotted walking home in her Brooklyn neighborhood yesterday, carrying 3-year-old daughter Ramona’s handiwork. OK, I don’t know for sure that Ramona made it. It could be anyone’s. Perhaps Gyllenhaal herself made this crown. Maybe kiddie paper art projects are her happy place. That’s cool. I enjoy a good Play-Doh session myself. Who are any of us to judge?
But seriously, this is the good stuff of parenting, right here. My son is about the same age of her daughter, and I already have a layer of crayon scribbles, newspaper hats, foot tracings and fingerpaint landscapes tacked up on the walls and closet doors and cluttering up my kitchen counters. I love it. From the looks of it, Gyllenhaal does, too. Check out a close-up of Ramona’s crown on the next page.
