St. Louis First Baseman Albert Pujols Celebrates The Birth Of A Son
Congratulations are in order for the Cardinals’ first baseman Albert Pujols! Not just for being voted the National League MVP for the third time last season, but for becoming a father for the fourth time.
The proud papa and his wife Deidre (who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary last month) welcomed Ezra on Friday, February 5th!
Surprisingly, the news is just now making the rounds that Pujols’ children — Isabella, Albert Jr., 9, and Sophia, 4 — now have a new baby brother.
The timing proved prefect for the dominating first baseman; not only because Ezra came as a sort of belated 10 anniversary present, but because Albert has had almost an entire month to spend with baby Ezra before he’s slate to show up at spring training.
As a professional athlete, one must assume that you try to plan your babies for the off-season. Although, I doubt it works out terribly often.
