It’s not even officially summer yet and I’m already dripping sweat each day when I check my mailbox! It’s feeling like one hot long summer, and things are going to get even hotter when the Teen Beach Movie airs on the Disney Channel on July 19!

Like a typical Disney-obsessed family living in Florida, my husband, kids and I are smitten with the Disney Channel, and one of our favorite things to do is cuddle up together at night and watch their Disney Channel Original movies. This summer is going to be all about Teen Beach Movie, which was filmed in Puerto Rico last year. The story centers around the main characters, Brady and McKenzie, and their mutual favorite beach musical film, which is set in the 1960s. I don’t know about you, but our family just can’t wait to watch it!

In anticipation of the film, we’ve decided to come up with some fun ideas for our own Teen Beach Movie viewing party, which are guaranteed to be a blast at any soiree. Check them out below and tell us, how do you plan on watching the premiere of Teen Beach Movie with your family and friends? It’s sure going to be a great one!

  • Centerpieces 1 of 5

Your beach-themed party is going to be a guaranteed hit with these adorable party favors to go! I like these because they can be used for centerpieces as well as giveaways at the end of the party. Plus, the surfboards can double up as great thank you cards, too.

  • H20 2 of 5

When it's hot and humid and over 95 degrees outside, the best thing to do is either to take a dip in the ocean water or drink gallons of it to refresh yourself, right (well, minus the salt of course)? This is probably the simplest beach party idea, but it's one of the cutest, too. And all you need to do is add a little H20 or punch with a cute tag and you're good to go!

  • Shark Attack 3 of 5

Talk about a shark attack! No beach-themed party would be complete without a watermelon shark, right? I just can't get over the creativity with this one! Just add toothpicks for serving (and of course the extra added Swedish fish), and you'll have people talking about your party for weeks to come.

  • Watermelon Bucket 4 of 5

Ok, I'm just dying over the creativity here.  Sure, this might take you an entire afternoon to craft, but the end result is too gorgeous not to make, right? I love the added starfish and crab detail everywhere, too. Plus, it just SCREAMS summer! This would make a great centerpiece at your party, as well!

  • Ocean and Sand Cupcakes 5 of 5

You can't have a beach party without a few sweet treats. Cupcakes are easy to serve, plus these ocean and sand ones look so simple to make (especially for people like me who haven't quite mastered the art of icing and decorating cupcakes just yet). There's no doubt they would be a hit at any party.
