Note to Suri Cruise: it’s time to step up your game. France’s first baby Giulia Bruni-Sarkozy has arrived, and she has just single-handedly risen the bar in the playing field.
President Nicolas Sarkozy and First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy’s one-week-old daughter has already been given the royal treatment by being showered with gifts from international dignitaries, royals, and leaders.
According to reports, German chancellor Angela Merkel was snapped presenting Giulia’s father with a Steiff Shlaf-Gut-Bar, which is an 11-inch tall “Sleep-Well-Bear” from a popular German firm’s baby collection.
Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron has also reportedly given the Sarkozy family a pink Woolen Witney blanket while Morocco’s King Mohamed VI sent a basket of white orchids to the Paris-area hospital where Giulia was born.
In addition, France’s former First Lady Bernadette Chirac has sent the new parents a smoke-colored robe from Baby Dior along with a handwritten note from her husband and former French president Jacques Chirac.
It would be no surprisde if Suri Cruise, the closest the United States will ever have in royal toddlerdom, is already shaking in her mini-Louboutin kitten heels. Another European royal baby from Kate Middleton might confirm her biggest fear: C-list status in the celebrity child sphere.
