Well, just recently we rejoiced because Suri Cruise is seemingly acting her age. As it turns out, maybe not. Photographic evidence has surfaced that the youngest Cruise is still drinking from the bottle at nearly four years of age.
My twins are 2-1/2 and doing the same thing, so I’m not casting stones. And oddly, it comforts me that the offspring of someone who could hire an army of nannies solely devoted to eliminating the bottle is still defying the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
The AAP says:
“It is recommended that the bottle be given up entirely at around age one and almost certainly by eighteen months. As long as your baby is drinking from a cup, he doesn’t need to take liquids from a bottle. If you must give him a bottle, limit the contents to plain water.”
Well, maybe Suri will give it up on her fourth birthday, which is in six days…
