Fashion designer Sylvie Cashay has been identified as the woman found dead in a filled bathtub at the Soho House in New York City earlier today. Her boyfriend Nicholas Brooks, the son of Academy Award winning composer Joseph Brooks, is reported being questioned in her untimely passing.

Fashion designer. Sylvie Cashay, 33, was an an up-and-coming swimwear designer based in New York. She had interned with Marc Jacobs and worked at Tommy Hilfiger and Victoria’s Secret before starting her own brand. Her work has been work featured in Vogue, Elle and People magazines.
SYLA Swimwear. Her debut swimwear collection under the brand name SYLA made its debut in 2006.
Childhood. Sylvie Cashay was a born designer who grew up spending time in her mother’s art studio. Born with dual citizenship, she spent her youth travelling between the United States and Peru drinking up the culture of both countries.
Award winner. As a student, Sylvie Cashay won the prestigious Best Senior Collection award from the Fashion Group International.
Death. The designer was found deceased in a bathtub at the SoHo House in New York City on Thursday, December 9, 2010. Her boyfriend is reportedly being questioned in her death.
