It had appeared that artist, producer, actor and father T.I. was going to be adding more charges to his record, and we’re not taking about his upcoming release King Uncaged. Rather charges stemming from his drug arrest back in September. So why wasn’t T.I. charged with possession, charges that everyone thought would be coming?
Well it turns out that the police that arrested him may not have done so properly. According to MTV that may have been “”significant legal issues” and that they may not have had real probable cause. “Cops claimed they smelled marijuana but no pot was ever booked into evidence,” TMZ reported. “And, we’re told … T.I. was pulled out of his $250,000 Maybach immediately after he made the illegal U-turn and prior to any registration check.”
But that doesn’t mean he’s off the hook. T.I. still has to do 11 months in prison for violating parole, which is much better than the two years that the judge had wanted. He is scheduled to turn himself in for his new sentence next week.
Will T.I. ever get his act together? Let’s hope so for his young fans and his children’s sake.
