T-Mobile’s Royal Wedding video is a hit with Prince Harry! T-Mobile created an ad to take advantage of the Royal Wedding Mania going on before the nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton! In the T-Mobile spoof video, the royal family gets their groove on and Prince Charles and Camilla get funky.
Turns out the wedding spoof is funny to the royal family because the British publication Metro reports that the T-Mobile video was posted by Prince Harry on his Facebook page with a message that the video provided a taste of ‘what to expect’ on Friday.
The ad is a viral hit for T-Mobile because it’s a royal spin on the super popular viral video of a real wedding, “JK Wedding Entrance Dance.” The T-Mobile royal spoof has received over 13 million views so far!
According to CNN, the video spoof was filmed at St. Bartholomew the Great Church in London, which was one of the churches used for the 1994 hit movie Four Weddings and a Funeral.
The T-Mobile ad was a riff on the video “JK Wedding Entrance Dance,” a Minnesota couple’s real 2009 wedding processional that became a YouTube smash, scoring more than 64 million views. The couple have turned their Internet fame into a good cause by creating a website to stop domestic violence, http://www.jkweddingdance.com.
