Tahiti's Le Tahaa Draws Major Celebs AND The BacheloretteAD Lynn
Last night, The Bachelorette hit Tahiti’s Le Tahaa Island Resort Spa, and viewers around the world drooled with envy. Gorgeous. It’s no wonder that Le Tahaa has been a draw for A-Listers for some time. See the Carrie Underwood honeymoon photo, at left? Yup, that’s Carrie Underwood and and Mike Fisher honeymooning at La Tahaa.
Scroll down for details about the resort, Tahiti vacations, and to find out which of our favorite celebrity parents hit Tahiti resorts for their private getaways.
On the celeb front, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban honeymooned at the St. Regis Bora Bora, a location we may see on TV in two weeks. That’s because The Bachelorette is headed to Bora Bora for its Tahitian finale! And when Katie Holmes was pregnant with Suri, she and Tom Criuse vacationed (with kids Isabella and Connor, and Tom’s mom) at a Tahiti resort.
Stars are lured by Tahiti’s remote location, which used to make the French Polynesian hideaway a respite from prying cameras, but as the Carrie Underwood pics prove, that’s no longer true.
If you’re thinking of going to Le Tahaa (also known as Le Taha’a), here are a few deets: it’s a Relais & Chateaux property on a private island reachable by plane (8 ½ hours from Los Angeles) or boat, and sits right on a coral reef. The resort features three eating venues, from poolside casual to fine dining. For rates (rooms go for about $700 and up during the high season) and more info, check out Le Taha’a’s website.
