Tailgating with the Stars: I Went to Monsters University Premiere and It Was AwesomeSunny Chanel
There are certain things I expected to do in my life. Standing in line at Safeway to buy Pete’s Sumatra coffee beans. Yes. Going to my daughter’s end of the year school picnic. Yes. Standing in the middle of Sunset Boulevard, enjoying a Caprese Salad courtesy of Wolfgang Puck, while mingling with the likes of Billy Crystal, Charlie Day, John Lasseter, Mike Wazowski, and Sulley? That is something I never expected to happen. But it did, and it was awesome.
The occasion of such a star-studded and festive gathering was the world premiere of Disney Pixar’s newest masterpiece Monsters University. And the evening wasn’t amazing just for the food, the glam, the glitz and the stars. It was amazing because the film itself is completely delightful, and I can say that with confidence since I’ve already seen the film 3.75 times. But I’ll tell you more about the film itself later (check out my review on Friday). In honor of the premiere of the much anticipated prequel to Monsters, Inc. Disney invited 25 parenting bloggers to don the official MU hues of blue and white and to attend the star studded event.
