Tayor Momsen Is At It Again In Her New Videokellidaisy
Taylor Momsen, the wild child young star of Gossip Girl who also fronts her own band, Pretty Reckless, is at it again. The actress/singer has raised eyebrows before for her behaviour as well as her style of dress, talking about some pretty racy subject matter as well as being photographed smoking recently while wearing an outfit that barely covered her backside. And did we fail to mention that Momsen is all of 17 years old? Well Taylor’s new video for her song Make Me Wanna Die’ features the underage singer stripping down to her underwear and makes parents everywhere wonder who is really looking out for this kid?!
The video is pretty racy for an adult, but the fact that the star happens to be 17 years old makes me wonder how someone could think this was a good idea? It’s obvious that Momsen thinks she’s far older and more important than she is, but doesn’t she have parents who can weigh in on these actions? Especially with the likes of Lindsay Lohan making headlines for failing her drug tests, I would think that it would be warning to any parent who thinks that throwing their child into the Hollywood scene so young is a good idea.
Tim Gunn recently guested on Gossip Girl and labelled Momsen a brat‘ and said that “She was pathetic, she couldn’t remember her lines, and she didn’t even have that many. I thought to myself why are we all being held hostage by this brat?” It’s refreshing that someone would actually call her out on her behaviour, but it doesn’t seem that anyone is listening.
The unfortunate part of all this is that it seems that Momsen is actually a talented singer, but I find myself being overly distracted by her appearance and her actions, that her talent is hidden. I just can’t wrap my head around parents who would think that allowing their 17 year old daughter to strip to their underwear and thigh high stockings in a music video, while surrounded by much older male band members, is a good idea! Have a look at the video and let me know if you agree.
