'Teen Mom' Amber Portwood Admits Daughter Leah Is The Only Reason She Speaks To Gary ShirleyChris Rogers
After watching three seasons of Teen Mom, it’s a wonder why Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley keep reconciling after so many raw, emotional fights. But after seeing the reunion special last night (Sept. 27), we have the answer straight from Amber’s mouth.
“I think if we didn’t have Leah, we would not be together at all … not talking, nothing,” she said during the special. “Personally, I wouldn’t because a lot of things have hurt me. With a lot of guys who’ve [done] the same thing to me, I’ve said bye like that. It’s very easy for me to do that, but with Gary, it’s really hard. Every time I break up with this guy, it’s like I’m done, it’s over. [But] like a month later when we are done being pissed off and being free, it’s like he’s calling me. I’m calling him, What are you doing? Oh, I love you.'”
Gary returned the sentiment. “It’s not like we want to be broken up,” he said. “We want to be together happy without any problems.”
“If it works out between us, then it works out,” Amber says. “It’s not right to plan anything because I’ve learned in my life that everything turns. Even if me and Gary are not together in the future, there’s no way in hell that me and you are never going to talk again and take care of each other if we need it. This is five years right here. Five years, a baby, first love. It’s so much emotion. I think we will be good one day.”
“From what she has told me, she has forgiven me for the things that I’ve done,” Gary added. “Not that it’s ever going to go away. So hopefully once we get rid of the instigators … I think the forgiveness has been there and has been said to us for everything, it’s just that it still hurts.”
What do you think? Are you hoping for Amber and Gary to get back together?
