Teen Mom Amber Portwood's Mother Wants To Stop the DramaEmma Brady
Teen Mom’s Amber Portwood’s mother says it is time for daughter to leave the hit show and focus on her daughter. Amber’s mom, Tonya, tells Life & Style that her daughter needs to take a break from the show and put the drama on hold for the sake her her daughter Leah, 2.
The admission comes after Amber was shown physically and verbally abusing former fiancé Gary Shirley during the second season of the hit MTV series Teen Mom.
“She needs a break from filming. I think she should quit now,” Tonya says. “Things need to calm down. There’s been way too much drama.”
The one decision of Amber’s that Tonya does support is her daughter’s decision to move on from her former fiance. “She’s left Gary,” Tanya adds. “When she’s not with Gary, she’s fine. She’s looking for a better place to raise Leah. She’s seeing a therapist. She’s getting herself straightened out. She’s trying to turn her life around.”
