The original Teen Mom girls are back for a third season which premieres on Tuesday, July 5. And a fourth season has already gotten the green light.
I’m not sure how I feel about this to be honest.
I can’t say I’m super excited to see how the original cast of Teen Mom is doing. We pretty much know how they’re all doing because they’re in the tabloids all the time!
Which makes me feel that MTV is exploiting these girls by continuing to broadcast these shows that seem to almost glamorize teen pregnancy.
Maci Bookout, 19, Amber Portwood, 20, Catelynn Lowell, 19, and Farrah Abraham, 19, are all set to return to MTV for a third season on July 5.
Portwood has been involved in more than enough drama for the world to see… and MTV has rumored to pay some of these girls over $200,000 a year!
MTV says, “This season, the series goes deeper into the girls’ lives as they confront old wounds, struggle to further their education, face strained relationships and strive to give their children the best life possible.”
Adding, “Tensions grow higher and as always, the series gives viewers an honest, gritty look into the challenges of raising a child as young parents and life after choosing adoption. However, now these children are toddlers, and when dealing with the “terrible twos” each day offers a new lesson.”
More drama at the expense of these young mothers who are struggling to raise their children.
What do you these of these teen pregnancy reality series airing on television?
