Teen Mom Jenelle Evans Is "Severely Depressed"Shana Aborn
We’re starting to get worried about Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans. As in this-girl-needs-help worried.
Things seemed to be brightening for Jenelle in recent weeks. Her time in rehab seemed to do her a world of good; today, she says she hasn’t smoked since August and she’s “stone-cold sober.” She raves about the courses she’s been taking at Miller Motte Technical College toward accreditation as a medical assistant. She’s spending quality time with 2-year-old son Jace, and she recently posted adorable pics from a mom-and-son photo shoot.
Her relationship with boyfriend Gary Head seems rock-solid, too. She tweeted pictures of the surprises he lavished on her during Valentine’s Day weekend – rose petals on the rug, stuffed animals and candy on her bed, and some serious bling in the form of ear gauges and a sapphire-and-diamond pendant.
But despite all that, it seems things aren’t all hearts-and-flowers with Jenelle.
Her health hasn’t been good in recent weeks. Shortly after her outpatient tonsillectomy, she went back into the hospital for a recurrent kidney infection. That in turn sparked some sharp words on Twitter toward roommates Tori Rhyne and Allison Lester, as she accused them of going out and getting drunk rather than helping her in her time of need.
According to later Twitter posts, she’s no longer friends with either of them. “I kick the friends who r fake out of my life and being on tv u can’t trust everyone and just be friends,” she told a fan.
And now Jenelle is having some serious emotional issues. Earlier Monday evening, she confessed online that she’s having a hard time holding it together.
“Severely depressed,” she tweeted. “Nervous breakdown maybe? I cry every 10 mins. Has been happening for 3 days now.”
A fan was quick to ask about the medications she’s taking for her bipolar disorder. “I’m taking them as prescribed but I’m seeing my psychiatrist tomorrow,” she replied.
Good to see she’s taking this seriously. Mental health issues are nothing to take lightly, and if she’s been crying all weekend, it’s time for some professional help.
Keep us posted, Jenelle. Your fans are worried, and there’s a little guy who’s counting on his mom to take care of herself so that she can be the best parent possible to him.
