'Teen Mom' Maci Bookout and Son Bentley Welcome the Elf On the ShelfChris Rogers
It’s not too often that we get a chance to see a season of Teen Mom during the holiday season. It sure would be nice to see Bentley, Leah, and Sophia open up all of their gifts on Christmas morning! Luckily, we get an inside look into Maci Bookout’s life through her twitter account, and according to her Bentley is all ready for Christmas with his elf on the shelf.
Maci tweeted, “our elf on the shelf arrived today!!! let the traditions begin! bentley named him snake lol.”
According to the main website, the tradition goes something like this:
The tradition begins when Santa sends his scout elves out to Elf Adoption Centers. Waiting for their families to bring them home, these patient elves hibernate until their family reads The Elf on the Shelf, gives their elf a very special name, and registers their adoption online. Once named, each scout elf will receive its Christmas magic and become a part of the family’s Christmas each and every year.
The elf is supposed to help your child act appropriately leading up the holidays. It’s also a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit!
The elf cannot be touched, and it reports your daily behavior to the north pole. On Christmas Eve, the elf travels back to his home with Santa and gives a final report on your child’s behavior.
I wonder how good Bentley will be this year.
Do you practice this tradition? Tell us about it!
