First off, let me get this out of the way: Ew.
What ever happened to the days in which MTV stars from shows like the Real World or Road Rules would have their 15 minutes of fame and then just fade away into oblivion?
Teen Mom star (can we say star?) Janelle Evans was arrested in her hometown in North Carolina after being charged with harassing phone calls and communicating threats.
The reality television star was released on a $1,000 shortly after he arrest. She posted on her Twitter account, “I’m free as a biiiiirrrrd.”
Confession: This blogger here has watched an episode of Teen Mom recently. It was a full five minutes. In the five minutes in which my brain cells were begging me for mercy, Janelle was lying on her couch and making pleading phone calls to various people asking them for help in getting her boyfriend out of jail right after she had a screaming match with her mother in front of her toddler son.
Seriously, is this what MTV is all about these days? In my time, it was all about the competition, the endurance, and the adventures that came with traveling the world in Road Rules and Cindy Crawford and Molly Sims taking us behind the scene in various fashion shows.
Between Janelle and that other lovely mother, Amber Portwood, we wouldn’t be surprised if season three of Teen Mom will be dubbed Teen Mom: The Prison Years.
By looking at Janelle’s mug shot, you can tell that this girl has no idea how horrible she is and that she is taking her current life as one big joke. Well, good luck in putting the pieces back together after Teen Mom is finally off the air because in the meantime, I’m vowing to never turn on that channel ever again.
Here are some of Janelle’s Twitter photos. What do you think? Should this show be taken off the air? Is it ruining these young mother’s lives?
